From 19 to 21 October 2011, we experienced severe rains and sudden floods in Pakkoku, Pauk, Myaing and Yesago townships, which are situated at the western bank of the Ayeyarwaddy river.
Many villages have been flooded with muddy water and many lost their life or home. A big bridge broken in three and refugee camps are growing daily. At Pakkoku alone there are more than 2000 refugees.
